What is clinic management software?
Clinic management software runs the daily work of an outpatient clinic in one place: patient registration, tokens and appointments, prescriptions and the patient record, and billing. For a solo doctor it replaces the token slips, the appointment diary, the paper files and the bill book with one system that the doctor and the desk share.
What does a single-doctor clinic need from its software?
A solo doctor is the clinic. The same person sees patients, checks the waiting room, answers questions about timings and often settles the bill at the end of the day. Software has to save time in the room and at the counter, not add another screen to manage.
- A crowded waiting area. Patients come early because they cannot tell how fast the queue is moving, and the receptionist spends the day answering "how long will it take?"
- Paper files that go missing. Old prescriptions and reports are hard to find when a patient returns, and family members on one mobile number get mixed up.
- Phone bookings. Every call to book or move an appointment interrupts the doctor or the one person at the desk.
- Breaks and late starts. When the doctor is called away, waiting patients do not know why the queue has stopped.
- Simple, correct bills. Consultation charges should be recorded every time, without a separate register.
How Sehat Nxt fits
The live OPD queue puts booked and walk-in patients in one list. You call the next token from your screen, and each change reaches the patient's phone, so patients can arrive closer to their turn. Instant, scheduled and recurring breaks are shown to waiting patients.
With appointment booking, your weekly OPD hours become bookable slots. Patients find you on www.sehatnxt.com or the mobile app and book with an OTP, and the booking lands in the same queue as walk-ins. You decide whether patients see a token number, a time, or both.
In EMR and digital prescription, each patient gets a UHID, and family members on one mobile number get their own records. You keep writing the way you like: typing, handwriting on a tablet, or uploading a photo of a paper prescription. Every prescription prints on your letterhead and is there on the next visit.
Each OPD token opens a visit in hospital billing with the consultation charge, so nothing is missed at the counter, and the day book shows every bill and receipt. If you also see patients by video, teleconsultation adds online slots that are kept separate from your clinic OPD.
Start with, add later
| Stage | Modules | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Day one | Live OPD queue, EMR and digital prescription | Tokens, a patient registry and prescriptions on your letterhead |
| When phone bookings pile up | Appointments, patient app | Patients book and track their token without calling |
| When you start video follow-ups | Teleconsultation | Online slots kept apart from the clinic OPD |
| When you hire a receptionist | Staff and roles, hospital billing | A separate login for the desk and clean OPD bills |

Guides for single-doctor clinics
Questions from single-doctor clinics
Is Sehat Nxt clinic management software or hospital software?
Both. A solo doctor uses it as clinic management software for the OPD queue, bookings, prescriptions and bills, and the same system adds IPD, lab and pharmacy if the clinic grows into a hospital.
I work alone without a receptionist. Can I still run the queue?
Yes. The doctor can move the queue from the consultation screen, and patients who booked online join the same queue as walk-ins. A receptionist login can be added later.
Do I have to stop writing prescriptions by hand?
No. You can write by hand on a tablet with the digital notepad, and the page prints on your letterhead and is saved to the patient's record. Typing and uploading a paper prescription also work.
Do my patients need to download an app?
No. Patients can book and follow their token on www.sehatnxt.com in a browser. The Sehat Nxt mobile app shows the same live queue for patients who prefer it.
I also sit at a hospital in the evening. Does that work?
Yes. Booking settings are kept per doctor per facility, so your clinic and the hospital can each have their own timings and booking mode.
