How it works
- A patient's OPD token or IPD admission opens a billing visit automatically.
- Charges are added from the hospital's price list, and lab, IPD orders and bed days add their own charges.
- The cashier collects payment in one or more modes and issues a receipt. IPD patients can pay advance deposits.
- For insured or scheme patients, the bill is split between the payer and the patient, and the payer's share becomes a claim.
- At the end of the shift, the cashier closes the shift, and the day book shows every bill and receipt.
Who it is for
It is for clinics that only need clean OPD bills and for hospitals that run IPD, packages and TPA cases. Billing staff can have a login that opens only the billing module.
Owners see who billed what, which discounts were approved and how much is pending from payers, without waiting for month-end.
Key capabilities
- Price lists and tariff plans, with ward-class rates and bulk import of service items.
- OPD counter bills and IPD interim and final bills, with deposits, refunds, cancellations, credit notes and write-offs.
- Payment modes: cash, UPI, card, net banking, cheque, demand draft and wallet, with the modes shown at the desk set by the hospital.
- Cash limit check: the desk warns before cash on one visit crosses ₹2,00,000 and suggests another mode.
- Payers and TPA: payer master, patient category per visit, payer and patient shares, claims dispatch, acknowledgement and settlements.
- Inclusions and exclusions: mark non-payable items, with suggestions from the IRDAI non-payable list, and print payer and patient copies.
- Packages with included items, so only the extra amount is charged.
- Approvals: discounts and rate changes above a user's authority wait for approval.
- Shifts and day lock: open and close cashier shifts and lock a finished day.
- Voice billing through Nxt AI, confirmed by staff before anything is saved.

Bill numbering and audit
Bills, receipts, deposits, refunds and credit notes are numbered in series for each financial year, with the hospital's own code in the number. Cancelled bills keep their number and stay visible, so there are no gaps to explain later.
Every rate change, discount, cancellation and refund is recorded with the user and time in an audit report.
How it connects to other modules
Charges come from the live OPD queue, IPD management and the laboratory. Doctors see their own earnings, and owners of several hospitals see revenue by branch in the multi-branch dashboard.
Patients can view their hospital bills on the patient app. Plans from ₹999 per month.
Questions about Hospital Billing
Can one bill be paid partly by insurance and partly by the patient?
Yes. Set the payer and patient category on the visit, and the bill is split into a payer share and a patient share. The payer share is tracked as a claim.
Which payment modes are supported?
Cash, UPI, card, net banking or NEFT, cheque, demand draft, wallet and other modes. The hospital chooses which modes appear at its billing desk.
Can a cashier give any discount they like?
No. Each user has an authority limit. A discount or rate change above that limit goes to an approvals inbox for the owner or billing head.
Can we track TPA claim settlements?
Yes. Claims can be dispatched, acknowledged and settled, with deductions recorded, and a report shows what each payer still owes.
